Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 11, 2022: The Dubai Health Authority ( DHA) has started using advanced technology to prepare patients for dialysis through catheters using sound waves and without surgical intervention.
This makes the Dubai Health Authority the first health institution in the Middle East and Eastern Europe to use this advanced technology for patients with kidney failure.

17, February 2022: SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing the COVID-19 infection, can be transmitted from mother to baby before, during and after childbirth – but such occurrences are rare, a new study reveals.
Overall, fewer than two per cent of babies born to mothers with SARS-CoV-2 infection also test positive for the virus, but they are more likely to test positive when the women have severe COVID-19 or were diagnosed after childbirth.

Abu Dhabi, 25 Jan 2022: Ghayathi Hospital, part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) network, has been granted its Emergency Department license by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH).
The license means Ghayathi Hospital joins nine other frontline healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi that are approved to deliver emergency care to patients. They include SEHA facilities Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Tawam Hospital, Madinat Zayed Hospital.

This comes after a reminder to citizens and residents that anyone who has been infected with COVID-19 can safely donate blood 10 days after positive result if asymptomatic and if symptomatic he can donate 10 days after resolution of symptoms.
